Why is the Needs Analysis phase so important ?

On Demand Training (ODT) is such an effective learning and reference tool because it has a clearly defined structure and content that is very focused on the objectives. How do the designers of ODT packages achieve these high standards? They use a formal needs analysis process on each and every project however large or small the project.

What happens during the Needs Analysis phase ?

The needs analysis is the first phase of any On Demand Training project and is critical for a successful project. During this phase the following questions have to be answered and the responses agreed by the client:

The How and When of Needs Analysis ?

One Demand Training can vary in size from simple single equipment, through complete production lines, to factory wide projects. By implication the Needs Analysis of such projects can vary widely in their scope and time requirement.
For very simple projects the needs analysis is often taken care of during the pre-contract phase and is used as the basis of the commercial quotation. Such projects would require no more than a half day on site meeting.
For more complex projects the needs analysis process may take several days to prepare and often requires one or two day on site visits to discuss the project with several departments including the target users. In this case Halo Training will initially quote for carrying out the Needs Analysis and will present a full report prior to making a commercial proposal for the supply of the On Demand package itself.
